1. Hitch must be no less than 31% of wheelbase. It is
to be measured from the center of the rear axle to the
pull side of the hitch. Hitch must be rigid in all directions.
Hitch is to be 26 inches high. Hitch is to be no more
than 6 inches from hitching point. No drawbars greater
than the angle of the sled chain.
(acceptable angle: 0 degrees to maximum 33 degrees)
2. Rearend housings must be mounted rigid and be 1 ton
or less in size.
3. Front edge of weights to be no more than 60 inches
from center of front axle.
4. Front axle must remain in intended original factory
position. Center of front wheels cannot exceed center
of front fender well. No coil springs unless original
equipment (OEM) and position.
5. Maximum wheelbase is 134 inches. OEM frame of same
manufacturer as the body.
6. Only OEM transfer cases and transmissions allowed.
No quick change, no after market and no cut gear transmissions
allowed.
7. Blowproof bellhousings required. Slipper clutches allowed.
No Crower clutches. Must have steel flywheel.
8. Must have 6 inch loop at u-joints & 1 inch loop
every 12 inches according to the General Rules.
9. No air or hydraulic suspensions allowed.
10. Beds may be cut out, but must be covered.
11. No fiberglass hoods or bodies. Scoops mounted on original
hood acceptable.
12. Working brakes of some type mandatory.
13. 485 cubic inch limit. OEM cast iron blocks and heads
only. Must fit stock intake. No aluminum heads, any cam.
14. Engine must be no further forward than 12 inches from
the center of the axle to the front of the block saver
plate. Engine must also have side shields.
15. Aluminum intake allowed. No tunnel rams. No sheet
metal intakes. One single four barrel carburetor allowed.
16. Headers must point down and back, parallel to the
ground.
17. No after market fuel injection systems.
18. Illegal fuels: All forms of nitromethane, nitrous
oxide, propylene, alcohol.
19. Kill switches front and rear according to General
& Safety Rules.
20. Maximum tire size: 32 ½ inches tall, 11 inch
tread width, on a maximum 14 inch wide wheel. DOT TIRES
ONLY. No cutting on tires allowed. No bar tires and no
terra tires allowed.
21. Rear tires must at least half track the front.
22. Helmets, seat belts and complete fire suit required
according to Safety Rules.
23. Fire extinguishers are required.
24. No dry sump motors. No external oil pumps. No vacuum
pumps. No after market wet or dry sumps. OEM style oil
pumps only.
25. Heads must remain in stock appearance on outside.
Porting is allowed. No machining off the outside of head
to install exhaust plates to raise ports.
26. All 4WD weights must be safely secured to the vehicle
and not extend forward more than 60 inches from the centerline
of the front axle, weights included. Weight bracket is
not to exceed 7 foot at its widest point.
